Description
While the original piece was painted in oil, I am retaining some of the characteristics of water color gouache. I have expanded to oils on canvas while keeping the work active and fluid and filled with soft transitions in color and value. The sense of the movement of the herd through the swirling dust is an important aspect of the painting. The technique of subtle glazing to create a suggestion of different planes in the painting was an integral part of the work.
